What an incredible place, this post is a little lazy and just lists what we did each day. Because we did so much and clocked 25,000 steps each day it would be far to long to write in detail about everything.
We stayed in Hells Kitchen one block from Times Square. Location was great so we walked and caught the subway everywhere, it’s so easy!!
Day one
Top of the rock observation deck – incredible views of the city
Wandered fifth avenue – posh and fancy
Visited Central Park – so massive, really well designed
Grand central terminal – like the movies, hectic
Times Square – also like the movies HECTIC ALWAYS

Got bagels – Zuckers – salmon and cream cheese with capers

Day five
Matt got a haircut, first one since Vietnam
Did our own laundry at a good and cheap laundromat – laundry is so much easier when English is the first language.
Walked through the centre of Central Park and around the lake – very beautiful, right in the middle of such a huge city
H and h bagels for lunch – mixed up the cafe today, had a salmon mixed into cream cheese (lox spread)
Levains bakery cookies – peanut butter chocolate is life, so fudgy and totally worth $4
Walked park avenue home – stopped for a drink then caught the subway with our bags to the airport, flew to London, caught the tube to Warwicks house.

Amazing….love how you are seizing each day, getting out there and experiencing it all. You will have so many stories to share, not to mention thousands of photos!

New York and London have been absolutely incredible! So much to do and see. Has also made us realise how lucky we are to have NZ as home. I hope everything is well, the year is flying by. We have been away for almost 7 months. Can’t believe it!
